Apple reveals plans as it confirms iTunes is being ditched

The new version of iOS, which powers iPhone and iPad, will introduce a dark mode and an abundance of new features for stock apps like Mail and Maps.

Meanwhile, the Apple Watch will allow female users to track their menstrual cycle from the device for the first time, and will also receive its own dedicated App Store. Other new hardware announcements will not arrive until September, when Apple usually pulls back the curtain on the latest models of its iPhone, with WWDC traditionally focused on software.

They are not exactly ditching it, because you need iTunes to recover your iPhone if need be. They are just separating the music from the films etc.

Have a iTunes library of over 20k songs there is no reason for me to sign up to Apple Music

But replaced with three app's that make more sence and easier to use for everyone. You forgot that part
