Apple profit falls 13% amid stalling iPhone sales

Sales from its closely-watched services business, which includes its App Store, Apple Pay mobile payments and device insurance arms, were up 13% to $11.46bn, but this marked the smallest quarterly rise since 2015.

Apple said it expects revenue in the current quarter to come in at between $61bn and $64bn, above analysts' expectations. Apple shares fell 1% ahead of reporting its results after markets closed, but in after-hours trading was up more than 4.5%

Maybe they should stop slowing them down as they get older and people might consider it?

The root cause is the arrogant Apple pricing models - people hold to devices for longer as the pricing is ridiculous. Drop the pricing - more units will be sold. Demand has dropped - pricing keeps increasing.

I admit I forked out for the Xs and to be honest I wish I’d kept my iPhone 7.. not a huge difference in a few apps etc.... I think the pricing is very steep and will not be considering Apple for my next device because of this .

Apple is a rip off , they’ve lost new design ideas , all they offer is overpriced coloured smartphones, stealing users information and profiteering on a dark side iphone

Suit buying Apple phones after no5 .could get a decent android for a 100 bux now .thing is Apple seems to be same suit different year and costs more each year too .

The poor customer service after my Apple Watch battery ‘expanded’ and smashed itself out of the glass whilst wearing it must play a part. I won’t buy new products anymore, I’ll buy refurbished or used...

I used to be at the front of the queue for the latest Apple phone. Now because of the price and a lack of innovation compared to other devices I’ve now kept hold of my iPhone with cracked screen and dodgy home button. Says it all really.

Maybe it's because apple were forced to stop slowing down devices to force people's hand on getting new ones. How quickly we forget this worldwide scandle.

Prices Way too high for bog standard apple phones that are just the same as the last one but with 1 or 2 extra features on each new release.
