INI kali pertama data telefon bimbit ditutup di seluruh daerah Rakhine di Myanmar, masuk hari ketiga semalam, menyekat penduduk kampung daripada perkhidmatan Internet di kawasan di mana tentera didakwa menyalahgunakan kuasa dalam pertarungan dengan pemberontak etnik. Kementerian Pengangkutan dan Komunikasi Myanmar mengarahkan semua pengendali telefon bimbit menggantung data Internet di sembilan kawasan perumahan di seluruh Rakhine dan daerah Chin yang bersebelahan.
