The greatest enemy to modern cars – poorly written code

Volvo has announced a recall of every single EX30, nearly 72k in all, and it's all because of a relatively minor software error.

The issue first emerged last month when Volvo announced a recall for 1,255 specifically in Australia. What makes the bug especially problematic is that, unlike almost every other car, all of Volvo's car statistics and info like speed are located on the central screen and nowhere else. When that test screen error occurs, drivers are left in the dark about exactly how fast they're going, and that could lead to driving that's too reckless or too cautious, neither of which are great.
