Only one Premier League match remains in the season for Manchester City and Man United - but things might be different without VAR ahead of a vote on future use of the technology

VAR has continued to be both problematic and controversial since arriving in the Premier League back in 2019.

What has materialised has been an alternative scenario, with clubs at the top and bottom of the table suffering from incorrect calls at crucial points of their season. The outcome of this vote remains to be seen, though it has been reported that clubs are unlikely to meet the required majority of 14 out of 20 clubs backing the idea.
