Boeing is preparing to brief pilots and regulators on a 737 Max software fix, as the company tries to restore industry confidence in its signature plane

More than 200 airline pilots, technical leaders and regulators were invited to the session that will center on the Boeing 737 Max and a software update that is said to resolve issues associated with a faulty piece of software blamed by aviation authorities for the October crash of a Lion Air plane in Indonesia.Investigators have drawn similarities between the flight data from that crash and the Ethiopian Airlines crash earlier this month that killed 157 people.

Changes coming at FAA after crashes, watchdog saysBoeing pilots worked with the company's software design team throughout months of production to incorporate multiple layers of protection in the event of sensor errors or other erroneous inputs, the Boeing official said. The updated software will also draw data from two sensors, instead of one, CNN has reported.

Their everything is at sake... So they have come with some effective plan, after all, it is a matter of people safety

Which reads: “if you’re in an uncontrolled dive, just enter the Konami code and you’ll be granted an extra life”

So boeing has agreed it was manufacturer's faulty in whatever software mslfunction to start compensating victims and their family without legal battles and time wastage

The recent one that crashed had a Piece of sticky tape telling the pilot to switch to manual in the event of emergency light on auto pilot if the pilot is having a sleep on auto pilot my guessing is he isn't going to switch it ,on waking up half asleep on its nose dive to ground

Selling the fix as an extra is like selling a car with brakes as an option. Maybe they should just fix their damned problem and listen to people who point out other problems

Software fix is not sufficient for a problem if aerodynamic or mechanical mistakes. It’s not comforting to know if software malfunction then the plain is deadly. 737MAX8 ET302 ethiopianairlines Boeing

phpress maybe more than a briefing is in order. And since the fix was available before, but Boeing sold it as an extra, they can go straight to hell.

I wish the problem of this model planes going to be solved as soon as possible

Boeing failed its own flagship product, not the market. In aviation, businesses tend to stall when productivity is tunnel-visioned.
