The change, which was in the works before the Ethiopian Airlines plane crash over the weekend, would mark a major shift from how Boeing originally designed a stall-prevention feature in the 737 MAX when it first delivered to airlines in 2017.

EvaSiu21 Let’s be clear here, Boeing is had this fix in the works for months. Now there’s a rush because of a second crash & a crash of their stock. Seems an investigation is in order as to why this known software malfunction was allowed to continue despite their knowledge of the issue

Even more a reason for the FAA to ground all 737 Max till the update is installed on all planes ! It’s a crime that planes are flying around without this update . I had it in my BMW 6 series , complete lose of control , due to software problems ..
What happened faanews, Nov 2018, to little to late!

Followup update eh... just like Microsoft... put out something then send out updates to fix what didn’t originally work
well a lot of the plane crashes from the 80s and 90s where because of software changes / integration. Will the past look like the present?
Boeing is like “There was no problem. But here’s a big fix you must install” LoL
too late, many people died already
