My former co-worker moved back to Hamilton after living in Alberta for almost two years. House prices were much better in Hamilton at the time (2015).
Alberta’s unemployment rate is 4th highest in Canada, being lower than just 3 other provinces: Newfoundland and Labrador (9.9%), PEI (7.3), and New Brunswick (6.3%). Everyone is going back to their home province.
Unlike Ont and QC, Alberta has real mountains.
