We must steer away from the culture of instant gratification, and instant likes and shares. We must instead highlight the value in learning from one another and each other’s stories. Of course, I know there are people who care, but this needs to be highlighted and by putting equity, diversity and inclusion into curriculum as well as enforcing sustainability throughout, we have the opportunity to turn our students into global citizens. Ones who feel for each other. This helps ensure that their footprint in education carries forward post-education.
