Fusion reactors promise cheap, abundant and relatively clean energy – if we can get them to work. Now, thanks to artificial intelligence firm DeepMind, fusion researchers are one step closer to extracting power from plasma hotter than the surface of the sun.
These magnetic fields are essential for keeping the plasma generated by the reactor safely contained. If the plasma touches the walls of the reactor it rapidly cools, stifling the reaction and potentially causing significant damage.
at EPFL says that although there are many theoretical approaches that could be used to contain the plasma with a magnetic coil, scientists have tried-and-tested strategies. But the AI surprised the team with its novel approach to forming those same plasma shapes with the coils. “Once this is done, this is not the end of the story. Then you have to make it a power plant,” he says. “And this AI is, in my opinion, the only way forward. There are so many variables, and a small change in one of them can cause a big change in the final output. If you try to do it manually, it’s a very lengthy process.”
Skynet...
lol. if conditional. loop instruction. if temperatureX, adjust reaction input power/coolant, until Xtemperature. no AI involved. it's not a choice. disinformation. although also copyrighted at the time. iinventedcode iinventedfusion followthewhiterabbit
Don't have a problem with a New energy source being controlled by ai ? You people have a critical thinking problem, and probably a climate cult problem,go read the book 1984
Makes me think of this paper-&-glue collage I made w/ a photo of the Tokamak Superconductor, which studies conditions at the time of the Big Bang.
Yoooo Nathan_Perry710 remember when I was crazy talking about how fusion reaction was gonna change the energy game in like 10 years? First step here. Gotta find me some young companies to invest in 🤨
Charlatans No need for AI Only UT fondamental eqs T =(f fi0)2 T= ..
How many problems of the world will be fix soon? I'm confident.

Hopefully all of that AI won't take away from the real-time control systems aspect of the code.
There’s your quantum computer 🖥
If you played Halo a lot, saying DeepMind enough times will make yourself slip into saying GraveMind. 😂
What could possibly go wrong?
