Consumer complaints against phone and internet providers have dropped dramatically in the past year, but more unhappy customers are now waiting months for their cases to be resolved.
The Telecommunications Industry Ombudsman's latest annual report showed an estimated 132,000 complaints were made last financial year, a decrease of 21.2 per cent from the previous year. Only 47 per cent of unresolved cases between consumers and providers were closed within 60 days, compared to 77 per cent the previous year. Image: Getty
