Australia’s consumer watchdog alleges electronics giant deceived customers with claims made in more than 300 ads

The consumer watchdog is taking Samsung to court, accusing the technology company of misleading consumers by telling them that many of the four million Galaxy phones sold in Australia were water resistant, while knowing they were not.

What is this obsession with water resistance gadgets though? I can understand it for watches, 50 metres, if you have an oxygene tank on the back and know it will give you 30 minutes air,but GoPro cameras and mobile phones? Really?

I always assumed that the waterproof feature was to save your phone, in case you dropped it down the toilet.

Samsung products are defective! Customer service sucks! They blame the customer. Class action suits should be filed!
