Troop’s lack of commitment: What Nigerians think of Buratai’s statement – Daily Trust

At a workshop organised recently by the Army Headquarters Department of Transformation and Innovation, the Chief of Army Staff, Lt. General Tukur Buratai, said troops’ enthusiasm to fight Boko Haram is sagging and commitment is lacking. He also said those on the frontlines were displaying insufficient willingness to perform assigned tasks. Daily Trust Saturday asks Nigerians what they think about these revelations.

I think he has lost the leadership capacity and should give way. After all, there has been speculations that the non-performance of the troops has been majorly due to the fact that the service chiefs have been remained beyond their tenures and Burutai has confirmed it.
