Lachlan Murdoch has called for more scrutiny on tech companies, warning that plagiarism on the internet is a threat to journalism.

Speaking at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity, Mr Murdoch accused online sites of taking content, audience and

advertising dollars from established media companies. The co-chairman of News Corp, which owns Sky News, also lauded the company's recent direction.
