A Tesla Model X will hit Victorian streets on Monday as the newest addition to the state's highway patrol fleet.
Victoria Police says it envisions a future where almost all of its 3,300-strong fleet is electric. Officers will now be able to use onboard technology to ‘summon’ the car when needed, which boasts the fastest acceleration in the fleet with a range of 550 kilometres.
They have to stop mid pursuit to charge the car
