Energy Commission ordered to probe TNB after complaints over electricity bills

Its minister Yeo Bee Yin said she had received more than 300 complaints throughout the country concerning the issue of high electricity bills and the EC would take 14 days to investigate whether the complaints were an error by the TNB. However, she said the EC was not satisfied with the reasons given, and thus further investigation would be carried out.

There are 2 differences in the May 2019 bill, as compared to April's.

Can anyone recommend some good capacitor bans that really work in correcting the power factor of the electricity consumed.

If I'm not wrong, majority of the substantial increases are from commercial premises. This is because commercial users are imposed with surcharge for power factor inefficiency, which can be quite high, ranging from 50-70% of electricity cost.
