No hike in Ondo institutions’ fees, says govt

THE Ondo State government has dismissed news making the rounds that it has increased tuition in the state-owned tertiary institutions.

In a statement signed yesterday by the Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Mr. Yemi Olowolabi, the state government asked students of the schools to disregard the rumour of the tuition hike. The management of Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko, and that of the Ondo State University of Science and Technology, Okitipipa, have buttressed the state government’s position on the fee hike.

The university added that above figures were negotiated with relevant stakeholders, including the students and their parents, and finalised in April last year.
