Horrible. Explains why kids nowadays walk all over their parents. No time to parent while they checking 'friends' Facebook status. SMH.

as a server, I’ve witnessed the worst behaved children being brought into a restaurant by the rudest, most phone addicted mothers anyone can imagine. they sit there txting and posting pics of their margaritas while the little rats are wreaking havoc in the restaurant.

Humans need eye contact, smiles, reactions in real time, someone listening, being present in life. We need to learn how to cope, deal, and transform our reality to avoid escaping from it through media, before we become addicts. The Lord have mercy on us.

No study needed. So obvious, painful to a child, if parents prefer fiddling with a screen and keyboard rather than child’s company, engagement. Maybe be less stressful if parent out of sight. Prioritizing a child when choices available signals love, deep attachment, pleasure.

I just saw an ad(?) with a little kid at a dinner table looking around while the rest of the family had their face in a phone.

Kids are at school most of the days. Makes sense.

Please stop making kids if you're spending 9hrs /day on a smartphone
