“Why does everyone act so tough on the internet,” Ian Jeffrey tweeted on Sunday.

James Charles’ younger brother Ian Jeffrey, who found fame through appearing in some of the YouTube makeup guru's videos, was quickly shut down by Jeffree Star this weekend after he posted a tweet in apparent defense of his older brother.

Shortly after, Charles’ 17-year-old brother tweeted, “Why does everyone act so tough on the internet,” to his 325,000 followers, in an apparent move to defend his brother and call out those who have attacked him since the feud began. Star, Westbrook and Charles had all previously been on good terms and had even featured in each other’s YouTube videos before the feud erupted. In August 2018, Charles and Star featured together in a video posted to fellow YouTuber Shane Dawson’s channel. It is unknown exactly when their friendship soured.

"Oh my God, you tried to trick a straight man into thinking he's gay, yet again," she continued."And, somehow, you're the victim. You know, it's really disgusting to manipulate someone's sexuality, especially when they are still emerging into adulthood." "Boys have been a topic talked a lot about on my social media journey, and it's a topic that wish I hadn't," he said."I've been involved in a lot of unique and strange situations that have left people confused or upset. I learned the hard way about ways that I can interact with boys that I've put trust in and ones that I shouldn't be talking to."
