Domino's Pizza Inc. is testing the use of GPS technology with drivers at 27 company-owned stores in Phoenix. Customers ordering from these locations will be able to track their pizzas on the Domino's website or app and can opt into SMS messages that will alert them that the driver is two minutes away. Drivers can also use an optional navigation function and call customers if necessary. The pilot will extend to franchise markets in Roanoke, Va., the suburban Seattle-Tacoma, Wash. area and Lansing, Mich. in the spring. Domino's stock has gained 10.3% for the year to date while the S&P 500 index is up 17.3% for the period.
