When Samsung first unveiled the Galaxy AI, real-time translation was among the platform's most exciting features. With months to improve since then, we can expect some upgrades with the launch of the upcoming Galaxy foldable devices.
According to Evan Blass , the two devices will adopt the Dual Screen Interpreter mode first introduced in last year's Google Pixel Fold. As the name suggests, this feature provides translation on the main and cover screens. This can be useful when you speak with a foreigner and need immediate translation.
Like the Pixel Fold's Dual Screen Interpreter mode, all you have to do is activate the translation feature for the phone and show the cover screen to the person you are speaking with. Live Translate should be able to take in what's spoken and perform real-time translation for both parties. If you're chatting with a Japanese, the person will receive translations in Japanese while you get it in English.
It's a simple feature that's likely super useful when travelling. Remember to check out the launch of the Galaxy Z Fold6 and Galaxy Z Flip6 on 10 July 2024 if you're interested. Until then, stay tuned to TechNave for more news like this.
