Phone manufacturers collaborating with camera makers isn’t anything new. However, collaborating with a photography studio to fine-tune a specific feature in the camera is refreshing. Honor had me intrigued when it announced its partnership with Studio Harcourt in Paris for the new phone.
According to the company, the Engine includes a “comprehensive analysis of over 1,000 scenarios and millions of datasets from Studio Harcourt,” which aims to “streamline the two-hour photoshoot process into nine simple steps.” However, the processing can occasionally be a miss, resulting in soft or overexposed images. I’d say it happens on two out of 10 shots. But the eight that I get look fantastic. The Honor 200 Pro is a slim phone that doesn’t feel uncomfortable to hold, despite it weighing 199 grams and the curved display. I like the pattern finish on the Ocean Cyan color. The phone sports a different camera module than before, supposedly inspired byin Spain.
The new Honor phone is excellent for content consumption with its impressive stereo speakers and flagship-quality screen. It is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset, which was also found on the. It is paired with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The phone is fast, responsive, and smooth in day-to-day usage. I wouldn’t recommend it for gaming because a heavy workload can make it unusually warm. The Honor 200 Pro runs MagicOS 8.0 based on Android 14.
