More than a quarter of child sex images online are ‘self-generated’ by youngsters live-streaming from their homes, according to a report.
Record amounts of child sexual abuse imagery were found online and removed last year thanks to improving technology according to the IWF ‘Each child will have their own story, but what is clear is that these children are being accessed by offenders, often in their bedrooms and homes, and then taken advantage of in the most grotesque way.’
The Once Upon a Year report also found that the amount of child sex abuse imagery hosted in the UK was now at the lowest level ever recorded at 0.04% of the global total.
