Art galleries rarely outlive their impresario founders, but one of the industry’s powerhouses—Gagosian—is undergoing some major leadership changes aimed at keeping the franchise on top indefinitely.
This week, the gallery said it promoted director Andrew Fabricant to the newly created position of chief operating officer, potentially putting him first in line to succeed the gallery’s 73-year-old founder Larry Gagosian.
I thought that was Kelsey Grammar.
