Boeing’s newest 737 model, the MAX, was grounded worldwide in March following two fatal crashes, one on Lion Air in Indonesia in October and another on Ethiopian Airlines in March, which together killed all 346 on board. "We are making steady progress toward certification," Boeing CEO Dennis Muilenburg said in a video on his Twitter account.

Of some 50 MAX customers and operators, Muilenburg said more than 85 percent had experienced the new software in simulator sessions and that there had been 120 737 MAX test flights held with more than 230 hours of air time with the new software.

That plane is aerodynamically unstable. No amount of software upgrades will fix that

Have they sorted out their production quality control dept. to avoid future recurrence of such issues. Because so far there is a huge problem with the 737 Max software, the 'Jesus Nut' on the US Army's AH46E Apaches, foreign object debris on the US airforce's KC46A Airtankers.🤔

seems to become a modern wording now whether it’s trade-deal-negotiations with China or people-killing software.

Boeing and VW, when management misjudge how to handle software and software quality...

I can see the passenger lineups now 🤦🏻‍♀️😬

It was supposed to be working right to start with, what do you mean ‘steady progress’? 🤔

Bit late 😡

I ain’t getting on that damn plane ✈️...

The only 'steady progress' the Boeing board of directors should be making is towards jail.

Boeing CEO says new software update has been tested by most 737 Max customersA majority of customers who ordered 737 Max planes have now had a chance to test a fix for software that has been linked to two deadly crashes, Boeing CEO Dennis Muilenburg said. I’m texting from one of those planes now and it’s fine ...............O.......M.........G Is Boeing going to compensate the families of those who passed? A 'majority'? How awful! It's bad enough that Boeing got away fooling the world claiming the 737MAX was just another 737. It's a scandal! Both Boeing and FAA should be booked. A software fix for a hardware airframe problem? Boeing CEO Says Fixes Will Make 737 MAX ‘Even Safer’Boeing CEO Dennis Muilenburg, in his first public remarks since the fatal crash of an Ethiopian Airlines Boeing 737 MAX last month, said software changes will make the jet “even safer by preventing erroneous angle of attack sensor readings” implicated in that fatal crash and another last year. Test your ass right on that plane. With only 99 crashes the tests are considered a sweeping success They better test the sh*t out of this thing. I prefer my planes not to nosedive straight into the earth after takeoff.
