The summer of 2024 is looking fresh for Sha’Carri Richardson.She is already the fastest woman in the world—in August, she ran the 100-meter in a dizzying 10.65 seconds—and a favorite to join the USA Track Field Olympic team in Paris this summer. It’s a highly anticipated moment for any athlete, but perhaps none more so than Richardson, who was controversially suspended from competing before the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
As she reminds enthusiastic fans , first she has to get through the Olympic trials, so that’s her current focus. But in general, she says, “I don’t plan out my looks. I’m definitely more of an emotional spontaneous reactor, if that makes sense. If I see it in the moment, if I feel it in the moment, I go with it.”Still, there are a few things that almost always go into her looks. “My nails, for sure,” Richardson says. “And I definitely like to intensify my eyes, to make my eyes pop.
