According to a statement by the state’s Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Ramhan Nansel, the suspects were found with four Kapital solar batteries and two 32-inch LG television sets, which were identified as stolen goods. Nansel said the arrested suspects have been identified as Sa’ad Kashina, 24; Bawa Saidu, 30; Sagir Mohammed, 28; and Isiaka Mohammed, 20 — all residents of Doma and Lafia.

He further stated that, “Upon interrogation, the suspects confessed to selling four laptops, which are part of the stolen items in Makurdi, Benue State at the rate of Thirty Thousand Naira.” In a related development, Nansel confirmed the arrest of another suspect, Bissan Mark, from Angwan Mission, Masaka, Karu Local Government Area.
