The Independent Institute of Education is urging parents to install Internet monitoring software like Net Nanny.

The Independent Institute of Education has called for parents to install Internet monitoring software to police their children’s online activity.

She explained that while the aspect of anonymity may seem harmless, it raises concerns about the safety and well-being of children. The IIE has the support of Klikd app co-founders Pam Tudin and Sarah Hoffman, who support banning the app for teens and tweens. It said digital technology, including artificial intelligence, shouldn’t outweigh a “human-centred vision” of education and should never present a barrier to learning.
