Fast-growing South African startup Zindi is recruiting over 1 000 people each month onto its AI and data science training platform, as demand for future-focused digital skills is skyrocketing on the continent. Celina Lee, Zindi’s co-founder and CEO, explained that the company made use of a gamified, project-orientated approach to train people across the continent in data science skills.
Lee said that the company was started in 2018 as a passion project to build up data science skills in Africa, and has ballooned as demand for future-focused digital skills on the continent has soared.South Africans need to be in the know if we want to create a prosperous future.
