If they're not measuring it against other forms of abusive tweets then really this is just an exercise in politics.
Were there any insults towards female UPC candidates? Comparison with male canidates? Can we see tracking male:female & do proper study. I for one know any insults I make are based on performance not gender. Like, I think JustinTrudeau is biggest moron in public office.

There's nothing legitimate about this study other than proving that women get insulted on Twitter. A legitimate study would track insults directed at all candidates and provide a gender breakdown. Even better: by party and with some categories of of insults. Garbage initiative.

What happens if it’s a woman insulting a woman?
It is Twitter. If you can't handle a few insults, get off of it or block people. Seriously, everyone gets insulted and attacked on here regardless if you are a male or female. Maybe track the insults levied against Canadians by their own government.
How many of those insults to women come from women. Better yet how many insults come to men also. Better yet how many insults come to men from women. This whole information needs far more research and analysis to be even brought forward for people to think it has any meaning.

I have insulted the NDP & Rachel Notley too many times to count. Not because she is a woman though. But she is so...🤷🏻♂️ Her in-action on defending Alberta is partly responsible for the suffering of families & increased suicides. This cost human lives. They should be insulted.
