You can plug the iPad Pro into an external monitor and use it as a desktop computer – provided it has the apps you need. Add to that the fact that iPadOS supports almost none of the software development apps we use here in the Digital Life Labs every day, and, well, you can see the capability gap I’m talking about.
Compared to the new 15-inch MacBook Air the iPad Pro is 56 per cent faster for single-core performance, 27 per cent faster for multi-core performance and 12 per cent faster for graphics performance.
