Runners can now turn to Strava not just to chase segments and kudos but for AI-powered feedback with the company’s launch of Athlete Intelligence. Athlete Intelligence, according to the company, will take paid subscribers’ training data, captured in the platform, and turn it into an easy-to-assess summary that “contextualizes accomplishments and fitness goals.”“The inspiration came from customer insight,” Anita Butler, Strava’s chief design officer, told Runner’s World.
”Another big update Strava announced is part of its “Build For Her” initiative, which is designed to better support girls and women in sport. These features include night heat maps—activities conducted between sundown and sunrise—to show athletes which routes are well-trafficked at night, and quick edit, which allows users to quickly change activity name and privacy settings, including start times and route maps. Night heat maps will be available to paid users only.
