DoST exec is PH's first Measurement Science doctor

The head of the Force Standards Section of the Department of Science and Technology Industrial Technology Development Institute National Metrology Division Pressure becomes the Philippines' first doctor of philosophy in the discipline of measurement science and the annals of American academia.Supervising science research specialist Maryness Salazar graduated in February 2024 with a doctorate in Measurement Science from the University of Science and Technology in South Korea.

Her doctoral study, 'Exploring a New Capillary-Type Standard Leak Using Polymicro Tube for Leak Measurement and Microflow Applications,' aims to improve accuracy, efficiency, and reliability in leak measurement and microflow control across multiple industries.
