What doe this say about young girls career choices then? I hope this young lady does well, and reaches her dreams, but the future of women in technical jobs looks bleak...

So what is your point - go do some cooking, hairdressing or nursing then.

I was the only boy in girls showers. Write about that ! I also did a shit in teachers toilets.

Not news.

I was the only boy in A-level sociology. And....?

I don’t get the point.

That’s sad ☹️

She was the only girl doing A level electronics because all they other girls had different goals in life and were off studying for their A levels in other subjects that they were interested in.

So proud of you! Well done 😊👏👏👏

I was the only boy in my art class. Could I also have a article about me?

It's not that girls are not welcome. It's that girls are not interested.

In my class there was only one girl too. That was 5 years ago

*shrug*

And?

Because there was defensive line of men with shields and weapons there to scare off all the females? No. Nobody is stopping women doing stem subjects but women. They’re choosing not to. There’s no secret cabal of old white men keeping women out of it.

And the point is.

My take away was that she won a five-year apprenticeship to engineering firm BAE Systems, but then failed her driving test. If I am ever feeling down, I will remember that even super smartypants have their flaws.

Who gives a toss

Again, in 2019, significantly more women are becoming pregnant than men. This stigma and stereotype must change! The sexism of so many hospitals which only offer services to pregnant woman... It's so shocking. WE MUST CHANGE THIS!! EQUALITY!!

Maybe she'd like to go to her own muslim country. Iran. Given the remarks of the new nusuk head? It would be for the best. islam out. Not the fault of the UK the muslim immigrant community is stupid and inbred.

Oh look at the far left wing BBC's sexist feminist SJW virtue signalling again! Female + immigrant + negro + muslim = Ticks all the diversity boxes. If the class was majority female the BBC would applaud, as would she! Is the BBC still taking its licence fee from men?

And?

And I was the only boy in A level dishwashing.

That's meritocracy for you. Maybe. Pretty hard to reject a muslim woman no matter how unskilled they are. Kinda sad I have to wonder, but this is the world liberals created.

Yes, but is she getting the same pay? GenderPayGap

I can’t help thinking that’s not the only reason the BBC is featuring her.

Good luck to her because she must have really worked hard to overcome a lot of dfferent things. Its great to see someone able to pursue her dream. Hope she encourages other girls who want to have a career similar to hers, go for things they might be worried about trying.

Annnnnd...?

Shocking .. badumcha ..

Woop de do

Muh titties don’t define muh wiring skillz

What on earth do armpits have to do with it?

Good on her 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

So?

Wow, when I joined the army, I was the only non white guy in my intake, the only non white guy at my first, second, third and fourth units. So f-ing what, thats life. what do you want, a medal?

'Boys armpit smells'? Can i talk about the smell of women in my workplace? Some of them are totally rank btw.

‘I could smell their armpits “ Christ what a charmer

Bet her fanny stinks. This is why I don't pay my TV licence.

That is sad but go on girl

You can't say 'Girl' Your a person......according to what we keep being told.

That's probably because you were the only girl that applied that year at that University. Men and women often choose different vocations. Nothing to see here. Typical identity politics nonsense peddled by BBC fake news.

So in summary, this article is just trying to wedge a wider gender divide, despite the fact that nobody prevented other girls from applying too. What a load of bollocks

Cutting edge journalism once again from the BBC

tough life for her lmao

I'm the only make in my HR job. Where is my article?

If you'd prefaced 'boys' armpit smells' with 'white' you could have had a narrative full house on this 'story' BBC. Well done.

So?

What's she want, a medal? It's articles like this that stigmatise gender and create this sense of a need to mollycoddle females. ''I was the only girl in the class''. Christ sake. Who cares?
