The thinnest ever Apple device, a bigger iPad Air and powerful new Pencil and software go on sale next week

Apple fans have a range of new iPads to look forward to, along with a new Pencil Pro, an upgraded keyboard accessory and powerful new versions of Logic Pro and Final Cut Pro software for iPad.

The grand unveiling of the new kit took place during the firm's Let Loose event which was a video filmed on iPhone, edited on Mac and streamed from its HQ in Cupertino California with Apple boss Tim Cook tells fans that this was the biggest update to the iPad since its original launch. IrishMirror.ie would tend to agree with that bold statement.

The more expensive Pro tablets - there’s an 11in and 13in model - now feature Apple's latest and greatest M4 chip which the firm said makes them faster than some PCs currently on the market. They premium tablets also come with a new OLED Ultra Retina XDR screen , offering improved visuals that are now brighter and more pixel-packed than ever.

Prices for the M2 11in iPad Air start from €729 - that's the same as the previous generation. If you want the 13in model, prices start at €979 for the entry level model which sees storage boosted to 128GB. The highest spec 1TB 13in model costs €1779.
