Despite creator and star Richard Gadd’s pleas, viewers of the hit Netflix series continue to try to identify the ‘real’ people involved.

“People I love, have worked with, and admire … are unfairly getting caught up in speculation,” Gadd wrote in an Instagram story posted on Wednesday but no longer visible. “Please don’t speculate on who any of the real life people could be. That’s not the point of our show.”

And what are the responsibilities of its execution?”, the CSIRO encourages people using personal information “to consider not only the data itself, but also the environment the data will be released into” when attempting to ensure it is de-identified.
