The Federal Aviation Administration is investing in new runway incursion technology at Dallas Love Field.

The North Texas airport is one of four airports receiving the new technology, including Austin-Bergstrom International Airport, Indianapolis International Airport and Nashville International Airport. The government is implementing surface awareness initiative systems at the airports by July 2024, and other airports will receive it by the end of 2025.“We’re committed to doing everything possible to make our runways even safer,” said Mike Whitaker, FAA administrator in a release.
