U.S. dollars in 2024, it's evident that consumers are increasingly turning to digital platforms to fulfill their shopping needs. However, despite the convenience and accessibility of online shopping, the overlooked issue of returns remains significant. It's not until consumers are faced with the tedious tasks of printing out shipping labels and standing in line at the post office that they too often realize the complexities involved in the returns process.
“I realized that everybody is so focused on getting products out into the hands of consumers in e-commerce, but no one's really looking at what happens when you need to make a return and take that back,” the CEO said. “To some extent, I think people look at the returns space and think that there are too many vendors or too many providers trying to do the same thing. But the reality is there's an $800 billion problem, and we haven't even scratched the surface,” said Ng.
“I really want to send a message out to the world about taking environmental impact more seriously; it's in our hands, and we can't continue the current unsustainable trajectory without doing something about it,” said Ng.ReturnBear collaborates with numerous merchants to streamline the return process, not just by keeping items local and consolidating them, but also by directly fulfilling them to the next consumer.
