The U.K. has ramped up its accusations of Chinese hacking, formally accusing the country of cyber campaigns against members of Parliament and the UK Electoral Commission.
As a result, the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office yesterday summoned the Chinese Ambassador to the UK. It has also sanctioned a front company, Wuhan Xiaoruizhi Science and Technology Company Limited, which is associated with APT31, operating on behalf of the Chinese Ministry of State Security.
"We will continue to call out this activity, holding the Chinese government accountable for its actions." "Democracy and the rule of law is paramount to the United Kingdom. Targeting our elected representatives and electoral processes will never go unchallenged."
