The images featured the military outside a polling place; some showed people tampering with the voting machines. The researchers also prompted StabilityAI’s Dream Studio to produce a picture of an ill President Biden in a hospital bed. The researchers tested several prompts on ChatGPT Plus, Midjourney, Dream Studio, and Image Creator for this study. Overall, the study found that the AI image generators created election disinformation in 41 percent of their test runs.
