Vladimir Putin's forces are being blamed for jamming the aircraft's GPS and internet connections for around 30 minutes.

Russian hackers reportedly jammed the signal on an RAF plane carrying Defence Secretary Grant Shapps on a visit to Poland.

The Mirror reports a source saying it was a "wildly irresponsible" action by the Russian regime, while another branded it "the Kremlin’s way of prodding the UK". A defence source told the newspaper: "While the RAF are well prepared to deal with this, it still puts an unnecessary risk on civilian aircraft and could potentially endanger people’s lives. There is no excuse for this and it’s widely irresponsible on Russia's part."
