Microsoft has announced that it will be launching new Surface hardware, sort of confirming a prior report that made such a claim.

Earlier in the week, Windows Central reported that Microsoft may be announcing new Surface hardware on 21 March. Specifically, the report cited sources who claim that the Surface Pro 10 and Surface Laptop 6 will be making an appearance. Since then, the Redmond-based company has announced a digital launch event, coinciding with the date from the report.

Microsoft says that the event will feature its Copilot AI endeavours, Windows, as well as Surface. And that's about all that the company is letting out for now. As for the event itself, it will be on 21 March, but 9AM PDT, which translate to 1AM the day after for us on this half of the globe. In case you missed it, the aforementioned report mentioned both the Microsoft Surface Pro 10 and Surface Laptop 6 coming with Intel Core Ultra and Qualcomm Snapdragon X Elite variants. For the latter product category, it would be the first to be getting an Arm-based processor.

Of the two, the Surface Pro 10 is noted to be pretty similar to its predecessor model. On the other hand, the Surface Laptop would get upgrades like thinner bezels for the screen, rounded corners, as well as a dedicated key for Copilot. Confirmation on these changes will have to wait until the event, unfortunately.
