The federal government has reiterated its commitment to digital literacy and skill development, through its Build-A-Thon initiative, organised by the Federal Ministry of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy. The initiative, aimed at introducing senior secondary school students to embedded systems and maker culture, was held across three Nigerian cities, Owerri, Maiduguri, and Abeokuta.

The federal government has reiterated its commitment to digital literacy and skill development, through its Build-A-Thon initiative, organised by the Federal Ministry of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy. The initiative, aimed at introducing senior secondary school students to embedded systems and maker culture, was held across three Nigerian cities, Owerri, Maiduguri, and Abeokuta.

According to a statement, made available to The Guardian, during the four-day event, which ran simultaneously in all locations, students engaged in hands-on learning experiences while learning skills such as the use of Raspberry Pi, embedded systems, Artificial Intelligence, and the Internet of Things (IoT)
