Former BlackBerry CEO Jim Balsillie sounded off on the federal government’s proposed privacy and artificial intelligence legislation during a committee meeting on Tuesday, where he called for a “whole-scale re-do” of Bill C-27. “This legislation will have profound consequences on Canada’s economic prosperity, freedom, democracy, and the well-being of our children,” Balsillie told the House committee on industry.
