have claimed that Samsung’s next flagship phone will be announced in “early to mid-January”. An earlier launch date is backed up by noted tipster Ice Universe , who posted on Chinese social media website Weibo that the S24 has entered mass production.
Samsung announced the S23 series on February 1st 2023 and made it available to buy on February 17th. If the phones do land in early January, then prospective buyers could have their S24 in-hand by the middle of the month.or Ice Universe have expanded on why Samsung would bring the launch date forward, but the company hasn’t always stuck with the same release date for its flagship smartphone range.
The S22 series landed in February last year, but the Galaxy S21 handsets were announced on January 14th 2021. The Galaxy S20 was unveiled in late February and went on sale on March 6th. The 2019 Galaxy S10 had a similar release schedule as its successor, but went on sale on March 8th. Samsung likes to be unpredictable, too. The Galaxy S21 FE was unveiled at CES 2022 on the 3rd January, while its successor—the S23 FE—landed a few weeks ago.
Apple was reportedly surprised at the sudden interest in generative AI tools in rival products this year and it’s working to catch up with new features in iOS 18. We might see AI-generated playlists and a smarter Siri in the the company’s next major mobile software update, according to How Samsung boils its machine learning technology down to simple apps, that can be used with a couple of taps, remains to be seen. I suspect the company will have a few surprises up its sleeve for the launch, particularly in the camera department. We’ll know more in the next few weeks. Stay tuned.
