Some scientists believe that, due to the abundance of carbon on the planet, its interior is composed of diamond. This is also down to the massive pressure within the exoplanet's interior as well as scorching 2,700°C temperatures. Such high temperatures are enough to vaporize iron, and that's exactly what happens on WASP-76b, resulting in an unusual weather system.
As such, there is no way of detecting the planet via its transit duration – the time it takes to orbit its star, measured via the drop in brightness of its host star. Instead, most rogue planets have been detected using gravitational microlensing, whereby light is focused by a large celestial object.
