Facebook backflips on a decision to remove a series of ads posted by Senator Elizabeth Warren, who has vowed to break up America's biggest technology companies.

Facebook has restored a series of advertisements attacking the social media giant, authored by Democratic presidential candidate Elizabeth Warren,"in the interest of allowing robust debate".Facebook confirmed the ads were removed due to the presence of its corporate logo

In a pre-election pitch to rein in the influence of tech giants, Senator Warren last week vowed to break up Amazon, Google and Facebook if elected president, to promote competition in the technology sector. A series of advertisements placed by Senator Warren's campaign on the social media platform shortly after warned:"Three companies have vast power over our economy and our democracy. Facebook, Amazon and Google."

However, the videos purportedly breached Facebook's advertising policies due to the presence of its well-recognised 'F' logo.
