Popular smartwatch maker Garmin has been forced to issue an urgent software update to address a defect in two of its devices which could cause a LED light to heat up and burn wrists.

The warning relates to Garmin Venu 2 Plus devices, sold between November 8, 2021 and August 25, 2023 and Garmin D2 Air X10 devices, sold between January 24, 2022 to August 25, 2023.
