Arcade Club in Leeds is a venue I’d been meaning to visit for a while after hearing excellent word of mouth and having a chat with the manager about how emotional his customers get over the classic games.
The mezzanine has so many old-school 1970s and 80s era games, with retro games Space Invaders, Donkey Kong with lots of other Atari, Namco and Nintendo classics. Then on the highest level they have a couple virtual reality headsets, E-sports, Minecraft and Fortnite stations. The VR technology actually blew my mind. There was a long a wait to get started on either the shooter Pistol Whip or rhythm game Beat Saber as many other punters were keen to mask up – but it was well worth it.
