Southeast Health announced Thursday that Lt. Col. Patrick Whitney, MD, MSPH, has joined its Westgate Clinic team.Whitney is board-certified in family practice and returns to Southeast Health from the 325th Medical Group at Tyndall Air Force Base, Florida, located near Panama City Beach.
At Tyndall, Whitney served as senior flight surgeon and practiced primary care and occupational medicine. Prior to Tyndall, he was the was director of occupational medicine at Lyster Army Health Clinic at Fort Novosel. Whitney completed his residency in family practice at Louisiana State University’s Health Science Center, earned his medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine in the Dominica, received his bachelor of science degree from Troy University, and completed his doctor of chiropractic prior at Life Chiropractic College.
People are also reading… After serving in the United States Air Force, Whitney retired in 2017 as commander of the 7th Aerospace Medicine Squadron at Dyess AFB in Texas. During his active duty, Whitney accumulated flight hours in multiple airframes, which led to him being awarded the Air Medal and Aerial Achievement Medal.
